Komi Mittens Pattern 2
Another pair of Komi mittens from Schurch's Mostly Mittens.
Knit on size 2 and size 4 needles, because I am woefully loose in my gauge. Cast on 40 stitches for the corrugated ribbing, then increased to 54 stitches for the hands on the larger needles. I worked the thumb gusset to 17 stitches, then worked the hand to row 31 before beginning to decrease.
I again used Ann Budd's specs for mitten decreases instead of the traditional decrease at the edge of each side. I like the more round-y top, and maybe because I'm knitting on such fat yarn, the other way of decreasing at the edges produces a really goofy result.
